An opportunity for a Corporate Solicitor to move in-house to focus predominantly on Corporate and M&A matters.
Client Details
An in-house team based in the Midlands.
Description
This is a rare opportunity to move in-house and retain your Corporate and M&A skillset, as oppose to switching into a predominantly commercial contracts role.
The position would large centre around corporate deals and they are looking for a Solicitor with significant experience who would hit the ground running, be able to run with their own matters and have a willingness to learn and develop.
The role would be very varied but would typically involve
The team is very busy at the moment, which is the reason why they need to recruit. They are keen to move as soon as possible to interview candidates.
They work in a hybrid way - likely to be 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
Profile
It's likely that you will be a qualified Corporate Solicitor with at least 2 years' experience in M&A work. Our client will consider candidates with a range of PQE. The role will predominantly be Corporate but the team will expect you to have a willingness to get involved in some general commercial work where necessary.

- Advising, drafting and negotiating a variety of corporate and contracts across the group of companies including:
- M&A / disposals;
- Partnerships and alliance;
- Corporate re-orgs;
- Some general commercial work
- Giving governance advice to the group, including attending / managing board meetings from a governance point of view including:
- preparing legal docs to implement corporate changes, including drafting ancillary documents such as board / shareholder resolutions, amendments to constitutional frameworks (i. articles of association)
