We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute qualified accountant with excellent business partnering skills to join this progressive and rapid growing company as a key finance business partner to the senior leadership team.
Due to rapid growth and high ambitions of the business, this is a newly created role which will require a hands–on approach to supporting key decision making on investments and new project development.
To be successful you must be Fully Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have genuine experience of providing key financial counsel to a senior management team with a proven ability to analyse, challenge, influence and communicate key aspects of financial decision making. You will be adept at building strong relationships, thinking strategically and analysis various commercial scenarios.
Any experience around commercial contracts, property, construction or CAPEX projects would be advantageous.
Key responsibilities:
*Implement project KPI's and analysis to drive decision making
*Cashflow reporting
*Evaluate financial viability of projects to be delivered in a timely and robust way
*Cost control of projects in conjunction with the operating divisions
*Detailed work/ negotiations/scenario planning
*Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting process across the group as well as regular forecasting
*Preparation of management reporting – monthly board reporting as well as regular and ad hoc reporting for divisional budget holders
*Variance commentary against budget
*Partner and support the Senior Leadership Team
*Work closely with consultants to ensure accurate forecasting for development projects
*Develop a strong working knowledge of commercial contracts and the financial and non–financial impacts they have on the business
