Your new company
Hays are delighted to have been retained to recruit a Finance Director for an exciting manufacturing group based in the Liverpool region. This business manufactures and assembles units for a domestic and international market. Recently integrated into a large European Group, the company wishes to recruit a UK group FD to oversee the 3 UK entities - T/O 30 million.
Powered by the financing and international relations of the new parent company, this company is set for huge growth and we are looking for an ambitious Finance Director to partner the MD and senior leadership team as well as providing strategic finance support.
Your new role
As UK Group CFO you will have oversight of all accounting (corporate and reporting), finance (banking and treasury) budgeting / management control / costing, internal controls and taxation.
You will coordinate with Group on Information systems, legal matters, insurance and risk management.
You will be a true business partner to the UK MD and leadership team providing strategic and tactical finance support to drive EBITDA.
Overseeing the production of monthly and annual reports including statutory reporting, you will ensure compliance with UK requirements and taxation rules.
This role is commercially focussed and you will monitor the performance of the UK subsidiaries and work with leadership teams to improve performance.
As the business grows, you will oversee the growth and development of the finance team, ensuring leadership and mentoring of your staff.
The role will involve some UK and very occasional international travel.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified accountant with a minimum of 8 years post qualified experience. You must have recent experience of working in a manufacturing environment operating at a senior and strategic finance level.
You should be familiar with group reporting requirements and ideally have worked for a business that trades internationally.
This role would be ideal for a senior finance professional operating in a division of a business who is looking for their first FD role, or a Finance Director looking to move to a bigger business with ambitious growth targets.
