The role
Are you someone who wants to help teams transform the way they do things? As an Opencast Software business analyst, you'll bring your understanding of agile practices and concepts to some of our major clients. You'll be open minded, inquisitive, and a great facilitator and problem solver.
What you'll do within our teams:
- Communicate with both technical and non–technical people at all levels of the business. You'll adjust your language to suit.
- Fully understand the business needs and requirements You'll be a go–to team member.
- Manage the elaboration, refinement and upkeep of user stories.
- Negotiate with development and design experts plus business stakeholders to find the best solution that meets user needs.
- Act as an ambassador for Opencast. You'll lead by example and promote our approach to business analysis.
You'll suit this role if you:
- have experience of agile (scrum/kanban) methodology
- gather requirements through a variety of elicitation techniques
- design new business models, processes and procedures for operational areas
- use Visio or other mapping tools to create customer journeys and process flows including "as is" and "to be"
- have experience of reviewing complicated processes and highlighting gaps, inconsistencies and opportunities
- have experience with high profile and complex software delivery across a variety of domains
- have managed challenging discussions
- have a strong ability to influence.
