CTO – Cloud, SaaS, Python, AI, Data – London / Remote – GBP120,000 to GBP160,000 + Equity – Ref: J326607We have a new opportunity for CTO with a passion for sustainability and clean energy to join a tech for good start up in London. You will be joining a team of likeminded individuals who are looking to disrupt and digitally transform the industry with a brand–new data driven SaaS cloud based platform.This is a hands on role where you will be given full autonomy for turning the vision into reality and shaping the technical direction of the product. You will be responsible for scoping out the plan for the product, including defining the build time, costs and resources. You will then be responsible for the day to day building of the modules and microservices. This will be a vast system linking into and taking data from various 3rd parties. We need someone who is very methodical and will not get trapped focusing on one area and end up falling down a rabbit whole! On top of this you will help grow and shape a team of engineers (AI, Data and Software).Previous experience of working within the sustainable energy or net zero sector would be a real plus. However, they do have a board or heavy hitters within this space, so we are open to applications from candidates from other big data industries such as Wholesale Energy, Smart Meter, Telco, Battery Storage, Insurance, FinTech or Trading etc.This role would suit someone who has a love of early–stage start–ups, and wants to be part of shaping the business, enjoying the twists and turns that come with this. You must have a Deep understanding of product development, including continual improvements. You should also have demonstrable experience of building data heavy SaaS / Cloud based platforms from scratch. This experience will ideally have been gained on a product used internationally not just in the UK. You should also have a proven background in shaping and mentoring AI / Engineering teams with a good understanding of python.Due to the setup of the business, this is a remote first role, but we do need someone who is willing to come into the London on an ad hoc basis.For more information, please contact Michael Johnson of Hurren and Hope.
