We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst and Project Lead to join our team. Working closely with stakeholders across the business to gather, interpret, document and analyse business and technical requirements, you will facilitate the delivery of IT work streams including strategic business transformation projects, business critical IT assigned projects and enhancements of our existing systems.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accountable for the business analysis and requirements capture activities for all relevant projects; working with the Business Solutions Managers to deliver identified business requirements in line with the IT / Business Solutions strategy.
  • Responsible for managing engagement with business stakeholders and relevant subject matter experts to achieve the desired outcomes; maintaining effective communication to enable understanding of project and business needs
  • Responsible for the facilitation, planning and execution of a number of IT related projects and work streams. Able to plan and organise the IT elements of identified projects and where necessary manage cross functionally whilst ensuring completion on time and to budget.
  • Own and manage project related risks, issues or queries from identification through to resolution, working with members of the wider Business Solutions team, third parties and Business Leads to ascertain and facilitate the most appropriate result, escalating where required.
  • Influence stakeholders within the business and relevant project work streams to win hearts and minds on proposed and recommended technical solutions, resolutions to issues or any necessary change to direction or deliverable in order to achieve the end result.
  • Manage relevant communication with regard to any required user engagement or UAT during the project life cycle.
  • Facilitate effective working relationships with external system suppliers to ensure projects and solutions are implemented on time, to budget and meeting appropriate quality standards.

KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Experienced Business Analyst with some exposure in leading and/or delivering IT projects
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies and business analysis techniques desired
  • Degree level, Business Analysis, Prince 2 qualifications or similar with proven experience in facilitating successful system IT solution projects with a broad understanding of IT solutions, software, hardware and infrastructure.
  • Working experience of business process and analysis techniques, and the design and facilitation of process and requirements workshops
  • Ability to operate and drive multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent influencing, negotiating and interpersonal skills, with demonstrable ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally. Strong capability for establishing and managing customer service standards.
  • Excellent vendor and supplier management skills
  • Resilient, with the ability to keep going in pressurised situations and to plan and prioritise effectively. Comfortable working with changing priorities
  • Able to demonstrate a flexible approach to problem solving, has good judgement and is commercially aware
