THE ROLE
We have a new vacancy for a Commercial Contracts Solicitor 2 to 5 years PQE to join a highly respected legal department
You will be responsible for the provision of legal support to the business
The role will involve assisting the commercial and sales business, and key stakeholders, advising on legal and contractual matters for high-value customer contracts.
Core areas of the work will include; Advising the procurement function (including IT), reviewing and negotiating major contracts, intellectual property, data protection, information technology matters
Other work will include risk management and assisting with in house training where required.
As a member of the legal department, and a trusted adviser, you will be expected to provide legal advice that is both commercially astute and aligned with the key contracting and governance requirements applicable to the business.
The role will also involve liaising and managing external lawyers and professional advisers.
THE CANDIDATE
You will have a broad commercial contracts background ideally with some in house experience ready to move to a new role offering an opportunity to work on high value agreements
You will have experience of supporting purchasing / procurement activity
Candidates with experience in outsourcing, public procurement and IT/ technology contracting, would be ideally suited
