Assystem is proud to work in partnership with one of the UK's most prestigious nuclear defence manufacturing companies by providing talented temporary resource needed to deliver complex engineering projects.
Assystem are recruiting for a Verification and Validation Controls Engineer to join on a 10 to 12–month contract for a major client in Derby.
This role will be reporting to the Group Leader for V&V and will involve frequent use of DOORS and DXL.
Role Details:
Job title: Verification and Validation Controls Engineer
Location: Derby, Raynesway
Sector: Nuclear and Defence
Duration: 6 months
Rate: PAYE via Umbrella Company – Inside IR35
Daily Responsibilities:
Support the test readiness of one or more EC&I products
Generate V&V processes and tools for testing and analysis of test evidence
What we are looking for in applications:
Degree qualified in one or more of the engineering disciplines of electronic, electrical, instrumentation, controls or software This can also include those with physics or other degrees. Or knowledge and experience to the same level.
Verification and Validation experience including Hardware in the Loop Testing
An appreciation of systems engineering principles is desirable
Familiarity with DOORS and DXL is desirable, but not essential
Knowledge of Pressurised Water Reactors is desirable, but not essential
Experience of working within the defence, nuclear or other high integrity industries is desirable, but not essential
**Security Clearance is required**
