Our client is looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to be responsible for all hardware, software across the Business. Supporting roughly 900 users across all relevant IT systems and multiple UK sites across UK.

Description
The Senior IT Systems Engineer will ideally be based in the Bristol, South West region and have:
Primary Responsibilities:
Software:
To be responsible for all Infrastructure Software i.e. software by which the firms IT functions rely on, for example, Windows Server and all component technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy, Security Groups, DFS, Remote Desktop Farms, Hyperconverged Clusters and Azure and any other technologies that may be introduced in the future)
To be responsible for the firms email infrastructure (Exchange Online)
To identify, plan, implement and document projects relating to improving the software to which the infrastructure runs on
To identify, plan, implement and document projects relating to improving generic business functions (for example, collaboration, communication, organisation etc.)
To ensure that the performance of all aforementioned software is acceptable
To ensure that all server side software in use is properly licensed and to escalate any potential violations to the Director of IT Services
To be responsible for advising the IT Helpdesk in relation to third line issues for all authorised software being used within the partnership.
To ensure that an appropriate anti–virus and firewall software policy is in place; and that all servers and PCs are suitably protected with the latest anti–virus software updates.
To ensure that all client side software (and configuration changes) are rolled out via Group PolicySecondary Responsibilities:
Hardware:
To collaborate with the Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer (in their absence be responsible for) advising the IT Helpdesk in relation to third line support should issues of hardware failure or malfunction.
To collaborate with the Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer (and in their absence be responsible for) the administration of network infrastructures within all offices.
To collaborate with the Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer (and in their absence be responsible for) ensuring that the policy for the daily backups of all servers in all offices within the partnership is being appliedProfile
The Successful Senior IT Systems Engineer will have:
A proven track record with Servers (Windows, Microsoft), IT Administration, Back up & Storage, Hyper–V.
Experience in a JBOD environment
Clear Communicator at all levels, work with key stakeholders across the business.
Lead from the front, supporting the whole IT department
Be willing to travel to various sites across the South – Driving licence will be required.
It is desirable to have a good understanding of networks or be CCNA certified.
Job Offer
The Senior IT Systems Engineer is offering:
Competitive Annual Salary between GBP40,000 – GBP5,0000 per annum.
Hybrid working between Home and sites (Main offices in Bristol & Swindon)
