PURPOSE OF ROLE
To define the brand and marketing communications strategy for the Lyca Group in agreement with the Board of Directors and to drive implementation of the strategy to agreed time, cost and quality metrics
Scope
Responsible for the implementation of agreed brand and marketing strategy across Lycamobile and selected Lyca Group brands (Lycachat, LycaTV, Lycaremit) including brand, advertising, online, media buying, research, PR, sponsorship, events and segment marketing
RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Oversee development and approval of all marketing communication – brand, TV, Press, Radio advertising, online, media buying, research, PR, sponsorship, events and segment marketing for Lycamobile and selected Lyca Group brands across all territories
- Manage marketing department processes, communication and sign offs to maximize the efficient delivery of all marketing communications activities
- Manage the marketing team to ensure its efficient operation, continued learning and prioritized approach to Lyca Group initiatives and projects
- Develop and agree with the Board of Directors the annual marketing budget
- Implement and manage the annual marketing budget to ensure delivery against cost, time and quality objectives
- Liaise with country Channel Marketing Managers to deliver campaign and retailer specific promotional plans & their effective implementation, working closely with both, the Sales and Marketing Teams, plus key customer and agency contacts
- Development of the annual PR plan. Proactive and reactive management of all PR activity to raise the positive profile of the Lycamobile brand name and profile of the senior management across all National, Trade and Online Media
- To ensure that Lycamobile has the opportunity to be at the forefront of any relevant issue/commentary related to the Lycamobile business across all territories
- Negotiation and management of agency relationships – PR, digital, creative, sponsorship – to ensure value for money delivery for the Lycamobile brand
- Support Lycamobile charitable partnerships
- Work with the product team to identifying and targeting appropriate market segments
- Co–ordinate product and marketing activity through establishing good relationships with the product team
- Effective review and analysis of marketing communications to ensure cost efficient customer targeting
- Work effectively with all departments to ensure the achievement of the Lyca Group annual operating plan
CONTROLS – REGULAR MEETINGS WITH:
Regular meetings with all senior managers and the Board of Directors; specific reviews with the Chief Operating Officer; Project and KPI review meetings, team meetings, product management review meetings, project review meetings
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KEY COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
- Excellent skill in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in a multinational corporate environment desirable
