Job Title: Automation Business Analyst (FT/PT/Job share)Contract Type: Permanent Salary Range: Depending on experienceAutomation Business Analyst: We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the Automation Team in either Eastleigh or Bournemouth.As an Automation Business Analyst, you will be responsible for defining and supporting the delivery of strategic, business and IT change across the organisation. Working across the project lifecycle, you will work alongside business and IT colleagues and third–party providers in a highly collaborative and delivery focused environment.
Please note a requirement of the role is to demonstrate skills relating to Blue Prism and Robotic Process Automation, with awareness of Automation Project Business Analysis and Blue Prism development.Main Responsibilities as Automation Business Analyst:
- Complete full and formal assessments of change and business problems, to determine the impact and the business benefits.
- Planning the business analysis activity on projects, typically of a 3–6–month duration– feeding into the overall delivery plan.
- Liaising with all areas of the business in order to understand and translate their 'needs' into a format and language that enables those delivering the change (Business, Project, IT Teams, Test Teams, Automation teams etc) to create and build appropriate solutions.
- Discovery, definition, collation and documentation of the requirements of all business areas that the change impacts, ensuring internal and external needs are reconciled. Ensure all voices are heard and considered– ensuring that full and thorough impacts of change are understood at an early stage.
- Creation of clear, accurate and thorough business requirements documents, specifications and gap analysis that are used as a foundation throughout the project.
- Analysing and challenge requirements to ensure they are appropriate, relevant and align to the overall project and business objectives and deliverables
- Prioritising requirements to ensure the focus is in the right areas and that essential elements are delivered.
- Mapping and performing analysis across end–to–end business processes to understand the system impacts; Ensure maps are stored/updated in the process repository, and are to the required standards, and approved by the process owners. Support the development and upkeep of this repository, including potentially managing/administrating to tool used.
Skills and experience you need as Automation Business Analyst
- Extensive knowledge of the different business areas, systems and processes of Ageas
- End to end experience of the project lifecycle
- Expertise in a wide range of requirement elicitation and documentation techniques, using a range of methodologies
- Expertise in mapping 'as is' and 'to be' processes. Experience of BPMN 2.0 standard desirable.
- Business analysis experience across a range of projects, programs and domains
- Must have a can–do attitude and tenacity are core attributes also together with the ability to handle ambiguity
- Excellent report writing and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail in everything undertaken
- Excellent peer to peer management skills
