Description
- Responsible for all financial matters relating to the company
- Ensure sufficient cash is available to meet daily and projected requirements
- Oversee compliance with all finance related legislation and liaise with relevant external bodies, primarily HMRC on personal and corporate taxes.
- Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with auditors/group/management
- Report to management on financial trading and impacts of differing strategies and potential issues
- As part of leadership team, assist with all aspects of running the business and formulation of plans, strategies and objectives to meet short term and long term goals
- Finance team lead and subject matter expert on all financial matters
- Manage finance department staff to ensure all departmental responsibilities are being met in an efficient and timely manner
- Monitor the day to day financial operations within the company including invoicing, purchasing, payroll and all cash matters
- Production of monthly management reports in line with management and group requirements
- Develop KPI's /dashboard to monitor weekly financial performance
- Group reporting – weekly, monthly, year–end, tax matters, and risk reporting
- Prepare and present annual budget to management and group + formal reforecasting at the end of Q1 and Q2
- Development of finance function, reporting, strategies and staff to meet companies current and projected needs
- Prepare all external financial returns including NI/PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax , annual return, etc
- Review customer agreements, capex, investments, disposals, insurances and other activities from a financial perspective
Profile
- Experience working in a similar role in industry for 5 years +
- In depth understanding of business principles and practice
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Experience managing staff
- Comfortable working with all levels of staff
- Experience dealing with external stakeholders including bankers, insurance brokers, customers, suppliers, HMRC and auditors.
