The Executive Network Group are working with a business going through rapid growth, throughout this the requirement for a Head of Build Supply Chain has become paramount to the success of the business and the realisation of its goals.Reporting to the MD of the area of the business, this role will oversee and focus on the Build side of the organisation, a crucial component in order for a successful delivery of a service to customers through the build of networks across the UK.This is a fantastic time to join a rapidly expanding company going through huge growth and is perfect for somebody who wants the ability to impact and make real change.Salary/Remuneration:• GBP65,000 – GBP80,000 depending on experience level• Bonus potential – up to GBP15,000 per annum subject to achievement of defined targets • Car allowance/Company Car Negotiable between GBP400 – GBP600pm• Location: Worcestershire; Hybrid working of 2 days in the office.The role will provide a comprehensive service to the business across the Supply Chain function within Build across the following Key Accountabilities.• Identify potential and suitable Supply Partners (critically for the Build, both Tier 1 and Tier 2),• Complete procurement processes to assess the partners suitability (may include running detailed RFI/P processes)• Ensure the Build partners have required scale, stability, financial stability and capability for required tasks• Defining and managing the onboarding of the Build Contractors• Commercial negotiation, including rate cards• SHEQ and assurance to regulations (CDM, etc)• Qualifications and certificates of workforce and processes in place to manage the build safely and to required standards.• Critical at being able to able to engage, qualify and retain suppliers through change.• Retaining Key Suppliers through tough periods of change, negotiate and flex budgets with you have the autonomy to do• Resolving Contractual disputes and relationships. Especially where contractors haven't performed or have been stopped from workingThe Ideal Candidate will:• Be a qualified, highly capable procurement/supply chain professional with build experience• Have extensive experience in either Utilities or Civils/Construction • Have senior level experience of managing large commercial civils contracts• Have extensive experience of leading and driving projects to successful conclusion within tight deadlines• Have experience of strategic thinking, planning and execution.• Have experience presenting at board level• Evidence of managing multi million pound projects.• Have demonstrable senior level experience of managing large commercial civils contracts• Demonstrable experience of strategic thinking, planning and execution. Able to lead at a strategic level whilst also being capable of and comfortable with the day–to–day operations. • Strong analytical skills, able to observe, evaluate and make decisions on situations quickly and comprehensively.• Excellent written, verbal and face–to–face communication skills, with ability to communicate and influence effectively to stakeholders at all levels. • Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to successfully manage conflicting priorities.• A reliable and resilient multi–tasker, able to work at pace within a fast–moving and complex environment.• Ability to identify, embed and monitor KPI's.• A role model, able to demonstrate and uphold values at all times.• Pragmatic, with a 'can–do' and problem–solving approach and the ability to understand and work with 'shades of grey'.• High energy, strong work ethic and goes the extra mile. • 'Customer service mind–set' – solution–oriented, empathetic and persuasive.
