As a Corporate Services (CS) Manager in this firms Bury St Edmunds office, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the CS Group, as well as holding and managing a client portfolio across the firms offices. You will also be expected to participate in all stages of an audit - from planning through to fieldwork and finalisation for Partner review.

This firm, which recently won a prominent award at the East of England dealmakers awards, covers a broad range of work types including valuation, business sales, business purchases and litigation support. They have a great client portfolio dealing in varying sectors, and with sizes ranging from large corporates to substantial family owned businesses. Advising business owners looking to buy sell or raise finance, as well as being retained by funders looking to invest or lend, deal values can vary from £500k to £50m.

They have also recently undergone a modernisation as a firm, with a new Cambridge office to be revealed soon after the successful opening of a new head office in Ipswich.

Description

As CS Manager in this firms Bury St Edmunds office, your duties will include, but may not be limited to;
  • Daily management of the CS Group, including training, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Review assignments and working papers, and provide constructive feedback to team members where necessary.
  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients, involving communicating the engagement process and financial information, as well as dealing with any problems or business concerns.
  • Participate in networking and client relationship building events.
  • Take responsibility for achieving engagement profitability.
  • Supporting Partners with business development activities.

Profile
  • ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Proven background in Audit within a UK practice as well as front line client contact is essential.
  • Good working knowledge of accounts preparation under UK GAAP.
  • Experience of CCH accounts software or similar software packages is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of corporation tax would be helpful.
  • Sector specialist experience in IFRS and Charity SORP accounting / auditing would be beneficial.
  • Financial modelling / advanced excel training would be beneficial.
