Senior Business Development Manager – Automation
Working from a home–based (or office) position but closely linked to their central UK offices in Oxfordshire, our growing globally based client is seeking a senior positioned Business Development Manager to support the further successful delivery of mid to high value tenders and packages of work for complete automated warehouse logistic systems.
You will report to the Head of Business Development and provide leadership and support to the Sales function with project design, data analysis and presentation materials.
The individual will work with colleagues from the UK and Austria (and other European Countries as dictated by each project) and develop their skills and knowledge as they progress. This role will include:
Active in Business Development, networking, and sales activity.
Development of customer requirements for automation projects.
Analysis and optimisation of logistical processes in collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Preparation of solution proposals, calculations, and presentations.
Input to and Management of CRM system (C4C).
Customer consulting.
Coming from a consultative and solution sales environment and used to working with multiple projects, this role is seeking candidates who may have a background in developing and estimating M&E projects or are from a mechanical or electrical engineering background sector. You should have:
Degree (or equivalent) in one of the following:
mechanical engineering
industrial engineering
logistics and supply chain management
Mechanical engineering knowledge
Competent in MS Office software
English will be the primary language for this role however additional knowledge of German is highly desirable
Experience of Automated Warehouse design and/or operations would be valuable
This position offers a highly competitive salary range and package and works alongside teams based in both the UK and Europe. On this basis, travel within the group as well as externally is required.
