The Head of Estates will take be directly responsible for overseeing the delivery of the major repairs and improvement capital program, statutory program, responsive repairs and maintenance across a national estate of properties.

The Head of Estates will be directly responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to effectively manage the day to day maintenance and capital programme for a large national estate of mixed properties.
You will have direct line management responsibilities for a team of property surveyors and capital works and compliance surveyors who you will lead day to day to help you deliver your long term maintenance strategy and you'll drive the team to not only meet KPI's but to beat KPI targets that have been put in place.
You'll build positive and strategic relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally to help achieve your strategy.
At head office you'll be responsible for all aspects of facilities management and ensuring that the outsourced contracts are meeting their KPI's and are value for money.
Energy and building sustainability issues will be key and you'll need to ensure that objectives are being met in this respect and that there is an effective procurement strategy in place relating to all aspects of building and energy services.
Profile
You will be a proven leader within the property profession and have lead a properly services or maintenance division ideally within the public sector. Applications from candidates with experience of the charitable care sector or housing association sector would be of particular interest.
You will need to have strong working knowledge of property maintenance and compliance and have delivered annual capital works programmes relating to improvements and repairs.
Experience should be backed up with a qualification and/or professional membership relating to property maintenance such as RICS or CIOB.
The role will operate on a hybrid working model and our client would like applicants to live within a reasonable commuting distance of Derby but be prepared to take on national ad–hoc travel as required.

A salary of up to GBP75,000 + GBP6,000 car allowance is on offer
