About The Vacancy:
Location: Brentwood– flexible working available
Work pattern: 5 days per week (35 hours) – flexible working available
We are currently looking to recruit an ambitious and highly talented individual to take on the role of Finance Manager (General Ledger).
The key purpose of this role is to manage a team of Management Accountants, carry out month end processes in accordance with the timetable. Identify efficiencies and process improvements and facilitate the implementation of efficiencies within the team.
Key Tasks:
- ?Manage all month end capital expenditure related processes
- Ensure all management accounts are accurate and in line with company policy
- Provide technical support for Business Partners in financial planning
- Support with the budgeting and forecasting process
- Ensure timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure that all postings in the General Ledger are accurate
- Manage a team of 4 qualified and part–qualified accountants and their development, including PDP, smart objectives and career discussions
To Be Successful You Will Need:
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- The ability to deal with conflicting demands and tight timescales
- To be a strong collaborative team player
- The ability to explain complex financial information in a simplistic manner
- An exceptional mathematical mind with a strong business orientation
- ?The ability to handle large amounts of data
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, V–lookups)
Qualifications required:?
- ?Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
- 5+ years of post–qualification experience
- Experience of modern ERP system
- IFRS16 (desirable but not essential)
