Finance Manager

Our client, a global leader in its field, with an incredible reputation for quality and customer loyalty, is looking to source a credible Finance Manager to join an initial 12 month contract basis. There would be a high possibility of permanent employment after the first year and the client are looking for someone ambitious that they can progress to Senior Manager.You'll be responsible for overseeing the accounting activity that impacts the corporate balance sheet and P&L; combining accounting, analytical and presentation skills to effectively and efficiently contribute to the month end close process, as well as leading and mentoring a team of 4 (2 direct reports).Main duties include:* Managing the team * Supervising and developing team members, providing direction and leadership to build an effective team* Updating and maintaining accounting internal policies and procedures * Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and controls * Managing relationships with external and internal auditors* Reviewing month on month, Q on Q, and Y on Y P&L and B/S Analytical review* Owning monthly closing and maintaining ledger of accounts * Reviewing month end/variance analysis* Managing and certifying monthly financial statements and reports * Reviewing all corporate cost accounting and cost centre performance vs forecast and budget* Overseeing intercompany reconciliations * Assisting with year end, interim and stats audit processKey skills & experience required:* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified* Proven track record in a similar financial accounting management role, developing and mentoring others* Experience gleaned in a large, fast–paced environment* Comfortable working to strict corporate deadlines* Credible communicator, capable of building relationships with a range of stakeholders * Proactive and positive approach to problem solving Vitae Financial Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
