Finance Manager GBP60,000 – GBP65,000 per annum Corby Permanent The Finance and Accountancy division at SF Recruitment are searching for a Finance Manager for our brilliant client based in Corby. Reporting into the Managing Director, you will be the main contact for running the Finance function. Main Responsibilities: – Management of the finance function and overseeing work duties of team members. – Responsible for facilitating and ensuring budgetary control, making recommendations to encourage the continuous improvement of financial performance and implementing relevant policies within the business. – Overseeing the production of accurate and timely management information. – Provide analysis and insights with regards to commercial and operational performance as well as improvements within these areas – Preparation of the monthly profit and loss accounts and balance sheet. – Preparation and distribution of key daily and weekly management information to ensure effective business performance monitoring. – Monthly upload of key data into group financial reporting systems – COGNOS. – Monthly production of comprehensive management Information pack with tracking of strategic KPIs. – Assist and support the Managing Director with production of material for Group business review meetings, monthly flash reporting and quarterly forecasts. – Assist and act as a support in the evaluation of potential acquisitions from a financial perspective in co–operation with Group Finance and Treasury functions. – Management of working capital and cash flow within the business to agreed KPIs and targets. – Management and leadership of credit control function to agreed KPI's and targets. – Ensure accurate and diligent control of costs within the business operating cost centres and the profit and loss statement. – Production of the year end statutory financial statements and management accounts. – Selection and management of yearly audit process in line with Group policy and standards. – Effective leadership of the finance team members including personal development plans and yearly performance reviews. – Ensuring that appropriate systems and high standards of internal controls are implemented and maintained. – Overseeing the Payroll process. – Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and Making Tax Digital. – Preparation of report for the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority). – Preparation of annual Research and Development Tax Credit application. – Responsible for all company insurances and for administering Company Cars. – Responsible Data Protection Officer 'DPO' for the organization. Skills & Experience: – Background and experience of operating as a Financial Controller/Manager and a suitable financial qualification such as ACA, CIMA or ACCA would be advantageous but not mandatory – Good leadership and communication skills to take an active role in the leadership of the CWG Choices business – Previous experience of managing an accounting team required – First class communication skills with the ability to liaise with non–financial stakeholders – Ability to demonstrate commercial acumen in areas of improving business performance at a strategic and practical level as opposed to simply reporting numbers – Good judgement, showing logical decision making, and a hands–on approach. – Confident, a self–starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment. – Customer orientation, integrity and the ability to lead through influence. – Proven ability to partner with internal customers, partners and stakeholders in a manner that results in mutually positive outcomes and credibility.
