Head of Health & Safety

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with an established and highly regarded business which operates within the building and construction sector in the search for a Head of Health & Safety. The role will be responsible for multiple sites with the majority of them based in the Midlands and Southern England.This is an excellent opportunity and will suit an established Health & Safety professional that is looking for a multi–site role and is confident in setting the benchmark for best practice across all behavioural safety and H&S systems in their industry – one which is highly regulated.This role requires an experienced Health, Safety and Environment professional who can engage across all levels of the business and introduce fresh ideas to improve the processes, systems, and culture. With the experience to educate leaders of the organisation as they enter an exciting growth period, one that is looking to expand their dominance of the market which they are regarded specialists across the UK.This Head of Health & Safety duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:–Prepare and develop health, safety and environmental strategies and policies–Develop and execute a robust EHS strategy for the site–Influence and improve the monthly KPIs, investigate incidents and ensure continued compliance with applicable legislation–Keep up–to–date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety legislation–Develop a behavioural safety programme and roll out across the businessElevation Engineering & Manufacturing are keen to speak with Health & Safety professions that possess the following skills and experiences:–Demonstrable work experience in either house building or a construction environment with a stable career in permanent employment–Degree qualified or equivalent in a business; manufacturing, health & safety discipline–You will be a chartered member of IOSH (preferred) and hold a NEBOSH qualification (essential)–Experienced operating at a strategic level with the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation and at site level–Proven HSE Management experience–Competent in the use of IT (Document Management System)/MS Office Packages incl.
