Service Director – Children's ServicesGilbert Meher is proud to be supporting is a significant regional provider of Residential care and intensive support for vulnerable young people with complex, emotional and behavioural needs. The company currently operates a portfolio children's homes and schools across the North West, The Service Director would be responsible for all aspects of operational and commercial management including: leading and working with the residential management team, the effective delivery of quality care, therapy and education, achieving compliance within Ofsted regulation frameworks. To work with colleagues to contribute to the strategic development of the company and our residential services. You will be expected to be the Responsible Individual for all the residential services within the organisationOur client is a developing company and we would expect the post holder to oversee further development year on year. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director or the groups parent company.Job SpecWe are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated and experienced leader with a proven track record at a senior management level within the Children's social care sector who will be performance and results driven. As the Service Director you will be a strong leader with good interpersonal skills who effectively works with and motivates others in achieving goals. They will have direct experience in senior management; developing and implementing business plans and maintaining compliance within relevant guidance and legal frameworks in the childcare and 'looked after' sector. You will lead & manage 2 Operations Managers, 12 Registered Managers & 200 staff.Essential
  • Experience at a strategic management level within the children's care sector
  • Experience of being a senior manager within the residential child care sector
  • Experience of managing others within a changing and fast moving culture and environment
  • Experience of effecting culture change within an organisation
  • Sound commercial knowledge and performance
