Human Resources (HR) is a function within our airline organisation responsible for strategic change programmes, organisational development and building people management capability in the function through coaching, challenging, and influencing senior leaders. The HR function operates as a multi–disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.

As TUI Airline HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will act as a strategic partner to the dedicated director and senior leaders, having a business–focused mindset to help translate business objectives to human capital strategies. You will build effective relationships and business knowledge to act as a trusted partner to functional senior leaders, key stakeholders and local HR colleagues to shape, develop and ensure the HR vision and strategy has been taken into consideration during any business decision making. Operating as the departmental HR expert, you will advise, guide and support operational HR and HR Centres of Expertise activity from multiple HR markets, to deliver the TUI Airline HR plan.

In this role, you will report to the Head of HR and will be partnering our Engineering and Maintenance function.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Provide proactive and strategic guidance and support to develop and deliver the HR functional plan, working in collaboration with your partner business function "TUI Airline Engineering & Maintenance" and with HR colleagues across the HR network, aligning the human resources agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives. You will ensure the core elements of the HR strategic human capital goals, vision and initiatives are being promoted and carried out
  • Work closely with senior management to develop the necessary actions to communicate, familiarise the function with and integrate this strategy and vision
  • Be responsible for coaching and partnering Directors and senior leaders. You will challenge and influence senior leaders on a wide range of HR and business topics and establish yourself as the first point of contact for your senior leaders on all HR and people matters
  • Proactively focus on a transformational talent agenda designed to attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the industry, in line with functional needs and challenges
  • Work with leaders across the business to appreciate and manage the impact of business initiatives on engagement and to support creative solutions to create and foster a culture of innovation, in an environment that requires high levels of scalability, security and reliability
  • Engage in supporting the senior leaders to develop realistic and sustainable succession plans to grow leaders at all levels, ensuring they are equipped with technical, behavioral and leadership capability
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance management, talent, and succession processes, and work with the business to create future–proofed functional talent plans, identifying and promoting opportunities to grow early talent through new and existing schemes
  • Be familiar with wider TUI development resources available to support leadership development and design development activity where resources do not currently exist
  • Provide organisational design expertise, be able to support with developing and implementing broad change plans to deliver OD including behavioural and cultural changes, headcount reduction programmes as required by the business areas, and recognising cultural and labour relations requirements in each impacted jurisdiction
  • Work closely with the functional Director and business leads to plan, implement and review project, change and consultation plans to secure critical business changes
  • Create commercially–minded, pragmatic solutions to meet business needs, you will work with a constant awareness of wider implications and trade–offs, including the need to generate consistency and alignment in HR activities across TUI Airline. You will work with your HR colleagues in the local teams to develop and deliver labour relations plans for any planned changes, including consultation with local works councils, the TUI European works council and unions as appropriate
  • Work with leaders and Talent Acquisition teams to develop and deliver a resourcing plan to attract and retain talent
  • Provide daily support to (senior) leaders with employee attraction, development, and retention issues which may include: annual reviews, leadership coaching, career pathing, advanced HR reporting and metrics, special project assistanceDirectly support the business in its leadership and senior leadership hiring decisions ensuring alignment with TUI values, the leadership model
