Head of Development – Manchester – GBP75,000 – GBP95,000 OPUS has partnered with a really unique SAAS provider based in Manchester city centre. They provide unique, blue chip products to businesses globally to help software related to security, finance, and mobile goods. The firm has recently become part of a large merger with a global tele–communications firm and has restructured a joint technological team consisting of 33 developers spread over a range of disciplines. The firm help to create quality and reliable products, to the new head of development must have proven experience of managing end–to–end services, experience managing a multi–disciplinary team and excellent skills with stakeholder engagement. Your main duties will include:
- Working closely with the CEO and CTO to help develop product strategy and deliver on product roadmaps
- Implementing time–saving and cost–efficient future planning methodologies
- Develop and maintain internal stakeholder and team relations by generating good relationships, supporting staff and identifying new areas for potential product and personal growth
- Providing excellent technical leadership to the development team and IT support services (DevOps, QA, BA etc.)
- Being able to deliver on high–level strategic plans
- Able to coach and approach a range of technological problems, (Front end, back end, Cloud based applications)
- Proven hands on experience with JS (and frameworks), Nodejs, AWS, Typescript, and a variety of databases.
- Able to conduct and review code on a regular basis to ensure standards are being met prior to deployment
- Able to develop, nurture, and manage a large team and offer advice and opportunities where necessary
