Head Of Technical (Food Industry)

We are currently recruiting for a meat wholesaler locally to Telford who are looking to expand the team by appointing a Head Of Technical to their team.

What will your day to day activities as a Head Of Technical include?

The role, locally to Telford, will be a diverse role overseeing a number of important technical tasks within the organisation from: taking the lead with all systems, compliance, HACCP and customer codes of practice, dealing with customers technical reviews, department budget controls, data collection, continuous improvement and much more.

What will you need to be considered for this opportunity?

• Over 5 years' experience ideally working within a meat wholesales however other food industries will be considered.
• Degree qualifications within food science would be greatly advantageous.
• Over 2 years' management experience is essential.
• Track record of success with delivering improvement projects.
• Experience working with major UK retailers within the food industry.
• HACCP level 4, Food Safety Level 3 and NPD qualifications are all essential to be considered.
• Lead auditor qualification would be advantageous.
• A hardworking mentality.
• An honest and reliable personality.
