Financial control and monitoring of a Business Unit, business partner to Director and their teams.
Client Details
Global manufacturing business
Description
Prepare monthly consolidated management reports and forecasts for Business Unit, to strict guidelines and timetable.
· Work with Demand Manager to review and challenge BU sales forecasts
· Ensure rebates and royalties are accurately captured and forecast
· Review and challenge cost centre manager provided OPEX forecasts
· Prepare BU sales key drivers and other BU reports, as required.
· Prepare segmental reporting and analysis for the business unit.
· To provide business information to the Senior Managers to assist with decision making.
· Support sales and management team with market sales data and contract renewals and tenders
· Maintain pricing tools and review business cases to support growth initiatives
· Review commercial contracts to ensure compliance with financial goals and controls
· Provide financial information for business plan, statutory accounts and strategic plan
· Prepare business cases to support commercial investments and prioritise resource appropriately.
· Act as the finance lead on business unit R&D projects
· Conduct impairment reviews on capitalised intangible assets.
· Provide support and challenge to cross functional meetings and processes such as PRB, Regulatory steering groups and S&OP
· Support internal and external audits as required
· Any other ad hoc work as required by the business
Profile
Commercially focussed finance experience.
· ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified.
· Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
· Strong systems skills (Excel, Access, BI, ERP).
· The ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
· Ability to communicate with, challenge and influence senior managers and others within and outside of finance
· Problem solving ability.
· Analytical approach.
· Completer/finisher approach.
· Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards.
· Understanding of Tax issues
