Your new role
The role will be working closely with the Group Accountant, covering the preparation and review of the University's consolidated accounting information, including: quarterly management accounts and year end statutory accounts, financial plans, management of the production and development of reporting spreadsheets used by all departments and activities of the University for the production of the quarterly management accounts and financial plans. Overseeing and managing the timely completion and consolidation of the quarterly management accounts and financial plans, including production and development of summary reporting and analysis. Development and maintenance of processes for central transactions and adjustments, including grant income, student fee income and central service charges. Development and maintenance of innovative financial solutions and models to aid planning, control, decision-making and dissemination of best practice. Preparation of committee papers and supporting analysis.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant who enjoys working with large amounts of complex data and manipulating it to help make strategic decisions. You will be very good on Excel with an eye for improvements and efficiencies. This is a role that you can really make your own!
