Project Director – Civil or MEICA background delivering GBP100+ individual major water project.
You will have a track record of leading projects on the delivery of non–infrastructure projects.
If you have strong engineering capability, an eye for value engineering, and experience in assisting financial decisions but are now looking for the next step in your career. This could be for you.
As the Project Director your duties & responsibilities will be:

Collaboration with designers and the delivery team throughout the Target Cost Setting, design, and delivery phases of a project.
*
Develop a project plan and ensure the necessary resources are organised to meet the plan.
*
Develop a project budget and ensure the project is delivered within that budget.
*
Ensure that all work is carried out to specifications.
*
Ensure that the project resources i.e. staff, labour, plant, materials and sub–contractors are effectively managed.
*
Liaise with clients and their agents to advise on progress and problem resolution as required.
*
Ensure contractual conditions are adhered to and the contractual position is not compromised.
*
Monitor the financial performance of the project and take all necessary steps to minimise costs.
*
Proactively develop relationships with clients.
*
Proactively participate in value engineering to maximise project contribution. Ensure that a high standard of safety is maintained throughout the project and that all relevant environmental and health & safety regulations and procedures are adhered to. Extensive project management experience on interior fit–out type projects.

Project Director should have experience managing contracts up to the GBP100M+
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
• Experience of working in the Water Industry essential
• Experience in an operational management role
• Experience of non–infrastructure delivery
• Experience in managing designers and subcontractors
• Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering, MEICA or Construction preferable
• NEBOSH National Certificate (General or Construction)
• SMSTS
• Water hygiene
