Job title: Finance Manager
Location: Flexible/Remote
Duration: 6 months initially
(Flexible on location – can look at fully remote but sometimes meet in the Southeast London office)
The Role:
To help in the development of and manage the investment plans, ensuring that they are fit for purpose, in line with best practice, and compliant with internal policies and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements by providing accurate, timely, insightful, and relevant financial planning and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Develops and documents investment appraisals across the portfolio
Identifies suitable appraisal techniques based on the characteristics of the portfolio.
Refines and maintains investment appraisals across the portfolio.
Advises on financial planning, budgeting, costing, accounting and charging using recognised accounting practices and standards.
Develops financial plans and forecasts for the portfolio.
Analyses expenditure, examines variances, and advises on options in the use of available portfolio budget.
Ensures that programme/project leads and/or service owners adhere to the agreed financial portfolio management approach and timetable.
Produces reports as appropriate for portfolio governance, including making recommendations for changes to the financial information across the portfolio.
Requirements:
Has good relationship, communication and presentation skills combined with a good track record of developing financial modelling for IT Investments.
Experience of IT investment planning ensuring alignment with business strategy and priorities
A good understanding of the business area within which they are operating.
Experience of working within a heavily matrixed organisation, with the ability to drive for results.
A good understanding of financial management, benefits management and realisation linked to business results.
