Your new role
As an integral part of the Finance team with direct reports, you will be responsible for managing relationships and ensuring fiscal responsibility across the various departments, managing the analysis of financial information and reporting both internally and externally to company stakeholders.
As the right-hand person to the Chief Financial Officer (based in US), you will be helping managers understand the financial implications of business decisions and oversee projects to help the business grow in line with its commercial growth. You will also be managing the management accounting function, Year-end process, annual audit and tax compliance in both the US and UK as well as other financial reporting activities.
You will grow the finance team to ensure that it meets the needs of a rapidly growing business, take responsibility for the development of internal reporting of financial information to provide insight to the board and senior management and assist the CFO with fundraising activities.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in a similar role, ideally within a VC backed start up. You will have strong attention to detail, be highly organised and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Detailed knowledge of Xero and experience of providing management information to internal stakeholders as well as report writing for non financial audiences are all required.
