Are you an experienced leader, able to bid, tender, and win work?

My client is a major international engineering company that is growing their presence in the UK and are currently working on a high profile LRT project. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for a strategic, ambitious, and results driven Director to join a thriving team to manage and develop complex Urban Transit systems.
The successful individual will lead design and delivery teams, collaborating & communicating with varied contributors across the business, as well as stakeholders, private developers, and various public sector groups.
This role will also entail the exciting responsibility of work winning and business development, working to build up a pipeline of opportunities, bid strategy, and organising commercial arrangements.

Salary: GBP85,000 to GBP100,000 per year (based on experience).
Location: Birmingham, 3 days in the office per week.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

Degree in relevant subject
Produce bids and tender presentations.
Proven history of work winning and developing client relationships.
Internal and external stakeholder communication skills.
Commercial and financial know how to prepare budgets, resource utilisation, and cost monitoring to be able to commercially manage multiple projects.
Proven experience leading and managing project teams, promoting, and enabling inter–disciplinary working.
Ability to face and work with clients in a professional manner.
8 to 10 years' post–graduate experience on rail/light rail projects.
Rail experience essential, light rail project experience highly advantageous.
Design/consultancy experience.
Risk management and control knowledge.
Ability to review designs.
Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate with key stakeholders and suppliers.
Must have right to work in UK, sponsorship not available.
