Quality, the reason you have returning customers. Arguably the most important thing to a global food business. It can be the difference between retaining or losing that pivotal contract.
That's why our client is looking to hire the "best in class" manager who can provide leadership to large quality team to take them to the next level.
The brief for this one is simple, someone must ooze leadership. You'll have a number of product experts already in the team, so the client isn't fussed what category you come from, your role will be to bring it all together. This is including developing and recruiting top talent, putting in process improvement initiatives & bringing new ideas to the table. This isn't broken, but we're certainly looking for you to take it to the next level.
Reporting into a multi–site Technical Director, you will have the bandwidth to shape this role as it's newly created. This will be across a team 35+ on multiple shifts, including your direct reports too.
You'll be looking to ensure product quality from intake through to dispatch. Leading a number of projects within the business (there are some great ones in the pipeline), ensuring HACCP & retailer standards are upkept, oversee a large QA team, drive culture.
