Business Development Manager – hybrid working, part home/ part office based with travel across the UK.

The primary purpose of the role is to support and develop the front line Wealth Planners in delivering a first class service to our high net worth clients, enhancing the profile and improving brand awareness at a regional level.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self motivated individual with experience in attracting new and developing existing professional connections to drive new client relationships. You will work in collaboration with Wealth Planners, to develop and implement strategies aimed at maximising business opportunities to support the overall profitability of the region.

The BDM is accountable for contributing to the success of their region by:

  • Ensuring regional advice revenue targets are met
  • Leadership, management and accountability responsibilities
  • Embedding the client proposition throughout the regional teams
  • Leading regional marketing strategies aimed at attracting new client revenues
  • Enhancing the profile and raising brand awareness across the region with key centres of influence
  • Working in collaboration to identify development needs within our community and create personal development plans for development
  • Assisting with L&D in the delivery of the training and development of our Wealth Planning community and Client Relationship Teams
  • Assuming the role of Planners trusted advisor and mentor to enable their development and progression
  • Leading in the delivery of client seminars, lead generation and local marketing

You will need

  • Level 4 qualification
  • Excellent knowledge of UK regulatory system, particularly those aspects relevant to Financial Services
  • Good knowledge of platforms and products from a technical/regulatory perspective
  • 5+ years experience with Financial Planning profession
  • 3+ years Financial Services BD, marketing and recruitment
  • Proven experience of developing, managing and implementing change processes within a high performing team environment
  • Ability to manage colleagues performance across a range of competencies within a results driven environment
