Strategic Programme Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a 6–month temporary post as Programme Manager to work with one of our wider Public Sector clients. They are looking for an experienced Programme Manager who can influence stakeholders and build positive working relationships at all levels.

Key duties and responsibilities for this role include:

Prepare, plan and execute the full lifecycle of planning, programme and project management based on best practice, from inception to implementation and final delivery sign offs. This includes development of PIDs, business cases, project plans, development of sign off criteria and the preparation of project review documentation.
Develop governance arrangements for the programme and co–ordinate the activities of relevant Programme Boards and other forums
Interpret national guidelines and policy to enable management of the Programme including risks and develop contingency plans as and when necessary.
Keep the Programme Board informed of progress through the preparation of Highlight and End Stage Assessment Reports, and ensure the Programme Board can exercise its duties of decision–making, assurance and scrutiny. Ensure reports from the Programme Board are provided to the Executive Team and Welsh Government as required.
Ensure Programme risks and issues are monitored and managed through the development of risk and issues logs and develop creative solutions for mitigating actions where necessary and ensure these are reported to the Programme Board, whilst ensuring best practice change control is in place.
Lead the management of change using best practice, to ensure successful delivery of the programme's objectives and plans. Working will be remote until such time as the government rules change. All equipment will be provided. If this opportinity is for you then apply today
