A leading PLC requires a Privacy & Compliance Manager - PLC to support the legal team on compliance with data protection, anti-bribery and corruption, competition and whistleblowing laws and associated policies and procedures ("Legal Compliance"). My client is a FTSE listed UK leader in logistics & transport within the industrial/manufacturing sector.

This FTSE 100 PLC is a leader in logistics & transport. With a growing legal team based in Buckinghamshire, they are looking for a Privacy & Compliance Manager - PLC to join them.

Description

The Privacy & Compliance Manager - PLC will be part of the Logistics & Transport business's Legal team in Buckinghamshire. You will report directly to the General Counsel and be responsible for:

· Advising on data processing agreements or data protection terms in commercial agreements.

· Advising the marketing team in relation to cookies, consents, electronic communications, and other relevant issues.

· Acting as point of contact with the Information Commissioner's Office.

· Managing DSAR process and maintain a log of rights requests.

In addition you will

Review, update, maintain and in some cases, implement and embed:

o DSAR policy and procedure.

o Data Protection Policy.

o Privacy Notices and policies.

o Data retention policy.

o Cookie policy and consent mechanisms.

o Record of processing activities.

Other areas of compliance the Privacy & Compliance Manager - PLC will be responsible for will include:

- anti bribery & corruption

- competition

- whistle blowing

Note in the first instance the Privacy Matters re the most important. The appropriate candidate will grow into the full compliance remit if they have not had exposure to broader compliance.

Profile

The successful Privacy & Compliance Manager - PLC will have privacy background and have worked supporting a business on the privacy initiatives. You will be comfortable undertaking:

- DPIAs

- DSARS

- Reporting & liaising with the ICO.

- Drafting, Reviewing & implementing policies.

You may have broader compliance experience including AML, ABC, Whistleblowing etc - this would be advantageous. However, an interest in developing into these areas from a privacy background will be considered.
