Our Public Sector client is looking to recruit a Fund / Grant Project Manager on a 6 month contract to work on the implementation of Charging Clear Air Zone (CCAZ) in the City to help reduce NO2 levels in the City. The project is responsible for the Clean Air Fund (CAF) which will includes:
* Financial Assistance Scheme (Vehicle upgrade)
* Bus Retrofit fund
* Freight consolidation centre
* The Sustainable Travel team.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Clean Air Fund and manage the Financial Assistance. You will also ensure financial assurance and auditing on the scheme.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Financial assurance involving assessing, analysing processes and procedures
* Auditing experience involving closely monitoring of financial reports, loans and grants
* Ideally Local Authority experience
* Budget management and reporting
* Ability to handle complex queries with reputational risks
* Negotiation and decision making experience
* Stakeholder management
* Commercially astute
Experience in the below would be advantageous but not essential
* Experience of other Clean Air Zone projects or similar transport projects
* Experience of equipment or vehicle leasing and ideally pricing of these finance transactions
* Comfortable with analysing data
* Experience of managing third parties/external advisors
The role will mainly be remote based but with occasional attendance at the office in Bristol.
Day Rate: GBP430 per day INSIDE IR35 via a Umbrella Company.
