Business Development Manager – Online Payments

Basic salary up to GBP35,000, OTE GBP55,000 + benefits

This is a remote role but would require some visits to the West Midlands office location

My client provides online payment solutions, identity management and cashless catering for the education sector in the UK. Their solutions are used in over 3,000 schools nationally to aid in the payment of school meals items, to help reduce the use of cash and the issues associated with it. They are looking for a new business focused business development manager, ideally with experience within the online payments sector but related experience can also be considered.

The Role:

This role is specifically focusing on the online payments market, so selling the online payment software solution into primary and secondary schools throughout the UK.
This is a new business sales role, you'll be targeting schools who aren't currently customers to introduce online payments or win them from a competitor organisation. In addition you will be selling to existing base customers who currently don't have the payment module but have other parts of the cashless catering or ID solution.
Some leads will be provided, others will need to be self sourced and you'll have some marketing support to work with
This is a national position, approaching schools anywhere in the UK and this will be predominantly done via video meeting so there won't be a lot of travel required. You'll demonstrate the software solution over Teams and allow customers to get a good understanding of the features of the product
This will be a home based remote role, however there will be an expectation that you'll attend the office when needed for meetings etc – this is in the West Midlands so you'll need to be comfortable with this travel when required.
You'll be working to monthly KPIs and revenue targets and updating the CRM system daily.
The Person:

Ideally we're looking for someone with experience selling online payment solution software within the public sector or education. If you have good online payment solution experience in other sectors this could also be considered, or software sales experience into the education market with a different type of product.
You'll have a great new business sales track record and be confident generating leads and building a sales pipeline
Ideally you'll be able to travel to the office on the outskirts of Birmingham when required but this may only be once a month or less.
You'll have excellent presentation and objection handling skills and be really goal driven.

The Package:

A basic salary up to GBP35,000 is offered with on target earnings of GBP55,000
