Lead Legal Attorney, Global Technology Group, Thames Valley or Remote

Global technology group seeks a commercial lawyer to take a lead role in overseeing advice to their UK businesses as part of a larger EMEA legal team. This presents an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work closely with regional management on cutting edge, world-class software and services.

The Role:

Working as a Lead Legal Counsel reporting to the Senior Legal Director (also UK based) you will:

• Be the first point of contact for regional management in regard to a range of legal matters and reporting
• Negotiate and draft customer and partner agreements
• Provide legal advice in areas such as procurement, employment, litigation, compliance, data protection, competition and marketing related matters
• Manage the relationship with external counsel
• Provide support to the EMEA legal team regarding regulatory matters and ongoing projects as well as working closely with the US legal team
• Provide internal legal training

Key Requirements:

• UK Qualified solicitor or barrister
• Minimum or one years* post qualification experience
• Strong drafting skills, and ability to analyse complex agreements
• Prior experience working with sales and marketing teams
• IT sector experience is a benefit but experience in sectors such as media, pharmaceuticals or FMCG could also be a good fit
• European language skills a benefit but not essential
• Able to work autonomously within a supportive team
• Entrepreneurial spirit. Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-cultural environment
