About our opportunity:

We are the internal recruitment partner working with an exceptional business in the Video Games sector; we are presenting an exciting new career opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Director to join the company at an exciting time of growth and expansion.

The Business Development Director will hold responsibility for acquiring, licensing, and clearing IP for company products and promotions and for managing external licensing partnerships, deal negotiations and contracts.

The position will see you developing strategy for licensing third–party IP and content, negotiating with commercial partners, completing licenses/marketing deals and managing ongoing relationships with external stakeholders. You will have an eye for recognising opportunities within existing clients as well as identifying new business opportunities, working closely with the management team.

This position is perfect for an engaging, personable, enthusiastic, and results–orientated individual.

A highly motivated professional, experienced within the video gaming industry, you will have knowledge in all aspects of the deal process, including identifying opportunities, evaluating partnerships, structuring, and negotiating complex contracts and effectively managing licensor/licensee relationships.

Experience working with internal senior stakeholders, working collaboratively, and managing the process of evaluating, negotiating, and maintaining external partnerships is essential.

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in business development and licensing in a video games/mobile app games industry
  • Strong ability to collaborate with and influence executives and teams from different business units across multiple functions to reach alignment on business goals that drive results and improve deal strategy
  • Relevant and extensive experience in structuring, negotiating and managing complex commercial licenses and acquisitions
  • Excellent problem–solving skills with ability to resolve highly complex and critical issues and to use innovative ideas to develop company and industry solutions
