Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement who has a track record of leading teams within a public sector environment. Reporting to the CFO, this is a great opportunity for someone to drive change within their transformation programme. You will have exceptional leadership skills whilst delivering value for money and creating a new innovative way of working.
Key Responsibilities for the Head of Procurement
To deliver a high quality and strategic procurement service, adopting a customer centric approach
To deliver commercial benefits and value for money, whilst delivering fit for purpose solutions
Motivate and empower individual members of the team, whilst demonstrating excellent stakeholder management skills
To lead on the program on procurement, whilst bringing people on the journey, including managing risk and delivering social value benefit.
Key Requirements:–
A reputation for leading a sizeable team to deliver successful outcomes within a high performing and quality procurement service
Strategic procurement background across a range of categories
Experience of working across a public sector body
Change and transformation experience
An inclusive, collaborative and impactful individual
Degree qualified or equivalent
Member of professional body
