Robert Walters – Interim Internal Controls (UK SOX) Specialist – 6–9 month contract – West Midlands

Our client, a Global Manufacturing business with their Headquarters in the West Midlands are looking for an Interim Internal Controls Specialist (UK SOX). The role entails reviewing low to high risks, implementing new controls and provide training to relevant departments.

Location: West Midlands

Contract length: 6–9 month contract

Contract hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: GBP500 – GBP600 a day (Outside IR35)

Key responsibilities of the Interim Internal Controls (UK SOX) Specialist

• Implement improvements and new policies including policy documents

• Liaise with stakeholders across the finance and Internal Audit to ensure processes are fit for purpose

• Oversee and manage the company's SOX compliance program

• Drive the SOX program forward, ensuring project timelines are correct and targets are hit

• Educate the surrounding business and ensure SOX compliance is fully understood by the wider team

Key essentials of the Interim Internal Controls (UK SOX) Specialist

• Qualified Accountant

• Past experience in UK SOX

• Able to work efficiently with internal and external stakeholders
