Finance Manager
60–70K
Central London
My client is a fast growing Insurance company based in Central London and are looking for a Finance Manager to join the team.
Duties include:
- Assisting with the review and preparation of monthly management reporting including month–end close by working day 3, EU consolidation, balance sheet reconciliation and analysis to budgets.
- Managing the annual statutory audits for UK and European entities, liaising with auditors ensuring all requests provided and audit is delivered to planned timelines.
- European direct and indirect tax compliance across various countries (extensive VAT, insurance premium tax, corporate tax considerations)
- Management of Treasury, including cash flow forecasting and monitoring working capital requirements and profit repatriation.
- Management of the AP function and weekly payment run.
- Marketing and other operational cost tracking, including analysis to budget and liaising with department heads for inputs and updates.
- Inventory and claims tracking and reporting. Assisting with implementation of new inventory system.
- Prepare and submit quarterly and annual regulatory submissions to the FCA, keeping up to date with any changes and new requirements.
- Monthly insurer reporting reconciliations including profit share calculations.
- Management and development of two direct reports, including appraisals and planning workloads.
- Documentation, implementation and monitoring of accounting treatments and financial controls.
Requirements:
- Excellent academics and a 2:1 degree or above.
- ACA/ACCA Qualified accountant with minimum two years PQE.
- Mix of audit and industry experience is ideal.
- Experience of managing a month end close.
- Previously managed audits.
- Treasury and AP experience.
- Good European VAT and tax knowledge.
- Experience of working with multi–currency, international business.
- FCA and insurance experience or knowledge.
- Experience of managing direct reports.
- Excellent in Excel and other accounting tools
