Finance Manager

Finance Manager job with a local authority in North Manchester paying GBP250 per day.

Your new company
My client is a large local authority in North Manchester. Due to an increase in workload they are recruiting this role on an interim basis for a period of 6 months initially, though this may well get extended depending on workload closer to the time.

Your new role
As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for preparing revenue estimates and validation of departmental budget submissions, production of monthly budget monitoring reports and analysis, business partnering with budget holders and close accounts on specific cost centres. You will provide monthly reporting to senior management with commentary, as well as deputise for the Senior Finance Manager in meetings and staff management.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience producing budgets and producing monthly reports, preferably within a local authority or housing association, so that you can instantly add value in this role. Previous experience in capital accounting would be highly advantageous to your application.
