Senior Aerospace Engineer
UK (Salisbury) / Germany

My client is seeking a highly experienced Aerospace Engineer to join their team for an exciting project! The successful candidate will split their time between the UK and Germany so applicants must be prepared to travel.
The Senior Principal Systems Engineer will technically lead aircraft design and modification delivery projects. They will lead technical activities applying Systems Engineering methodology to ensure projects meet customer requirements, effective delivery is achieved and ensure compliance with relevant certification standards as well as internal technical governance. The successful person will sign–off technical deliverables for the Company. The person will need to spend significant time on site. German speaking applicants are desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
Overall Leadership of the relevant project technical delivery
Working in partnership with the Project Manager to ensure projects achieve successful delivery and meet business and engineering governance requirements
Formal technical sign off of Project deliverables in accordance with client delegations matrix ensuring consistent application of relevant processes, methods and tools
Provision of expert advice and guidance (specifically on engineering governance requirements) as required
Liaising at senior level with the customer to ensure requirements are understood and met by project deliverables
Work with the Aviation Engineering Centre Boscombe Down and Technical Excellence to share best practice, resolve issues, generate innovative solutions and support business targets.Knowledge / Skills Required
Demonstrable leadership skills
Demonstrable successful delivery team management
Demonstrable understanding/experience of System Engineering and its relevance to a range of aerospace engineering delivery
Demonstrable track record in aerospace delivery performance
Demonstrable ability to make sound engineering judgement
Able to engage with the relevant Customer community
Able to work across a range of engineering delivery activities
Degree or relevant Engineering experience
