Who We Are Looking For

PwC and Invest NI have invested GBP40M in a new Advanced Research and Engineering Centre based in our brand new state of the art office in Belfast. Our team of software specialists collaborate with business experts and academics to design, develop and launch products to support the Operate business. We are building a suite of connected and intelligent capabilities, adopting new and emerging technologies, and using the latest Agile and DevOps approaches to maximise our effectiveness. We now have the opportunity for a Senior Software
Developer to join our team working on greenfield projects. You will be joining our inclusive team that brings together different perspectives, making this a great place to innovate, have fun and to grow.

Requirements of the Senior Software Developer

As a Senior Software Developer in the Advanced Research and Engineering Centre, you will design and develop high quality software products to meet the needs of our business. You will work closely with key stakeholders and provide technical direction to the developers in your team.

Job Role of the Senior Software Developer

??? Provide technical leadership within an Agile team; coaching, mentoring and upskilling developers.
??? Collaborate with the Scrum Manager and Product Owner to get the most out of your development team.
??? Collaborate with the Lead Software Developers to help define and build our technical capabilities.
??? Innovate, selecting the best tools and emerging technologies.
??? Be a role model for best engineering practice across the team.
??? Guide the engineering of high quality software products to support the Business.

Skills and Experience of the Senior Software Developer

??? Experience as a Senior Software Developer or Engineer.
??? Deep understanding of a variety of technologies and platforms.
??? Evidence of delivering quality software products from a position of leadership.
??? Direct experience of Cloud Development.
??? Relevant coding experience – ideally Java, C# or Python.
??? Mentoring and / or coaching experience.
??? Agile, Software Engineer, Senior Developer, Emerging Technologies, Platforms, Cloud
