Climate17 are excited to be working on an exclusive basis with a leading consultancy within the Built Environment sector who are seeking to appoint a Director to help lead their dynamic and growing sustainability team.
This client is a progressive carbon neutral organisation with sustainability at the heart of their business.
They provide a range of sustainability services to public and private sector clients throughout the UK, ranging from small– and large–scale developers, nationally significant infrastructure projects, to investors and funds.
The sustainability team delivers a number of exciting, market–leading new projects in the areas of climate change, carbon footprinting and neutrality, as well as net zero developments.
The right candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing sustainability team which is making a genuine impact in the move to a net zero economy.
Responsibilities
- Work strategically to develop business across ESG, Sustainability Strategy & Reporting and Net–Zero with existing and new clients.
- Act in a leadership capacity within the team and business and manage and mentor others.
- Lead on key projects with investors, developers and other clients to deliver ESG and Sustainability strategy.
- Utilise the wider sustainability team and business to maximise client opportunities.
- Deliver the quality and standard of work in line with our client's standards.
About you
- This is a role for a highly motivated and enthusiastic sustainability professional with an ability to think strategically and to work with an existing team to develop business. You must have a track record of winning work across Sustainability, ESG and Net–Zero whilst growing a team within the UK market.
- You will hold a sustainability or environmental related qualification (at degree level or equivalent).
- You will possess a strong commercial drive and a desire to nurture talent within the team, you will play a key role in setting the direction for the team and leading by example.
