Overview of role
Work Undertaken:
The successful candidate will work on either one larger or a number of smaller sized projects controlled by the IT PMO as well as smaller initiatives within the business IT "Agile" portfolio, as workload and priority dictates.
Part of a "hybrid" team with clearly defined responsibilities for defining detailed business requirements & outcomes that can be translated into end–to–end IT system solutions, with a focus on clearly mapped and documented processes. A key player in the timely delivery of IT projects providing on–going support to all phases of a project.
Responsibilities/Deliverables:
- Define project requirements, scope and deliverables to drive the customer agenda within the IT department
- Document in the correct terminology, business requirements and process flows.
- Complete process modelling using As–Is and To–Be; engage with the business and stakeholders to gain buy–in on the requirements.
- Control business analysis activities required during the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with IT Architects to document quality business requirements & outcomes that translate into IT solution designs and used to define detailed end–to–end system solutions.
- Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to identify ways to innovate and improve delivery and processes
- Work with the IT leadership team and technical authority board to review requirements definitions using As–Is and To–Be models
- Support the business to prioritise project backlogs and user requirements to enable them to be assigned to multiple IT delivery teams.
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the multiple business areas and 3rd Party suppliers
- Feeds into business study proposals and business cases ensuring alignment with IT and Business Strategy. Agreement of project benefits and how these will be tracked post implementation. Works with IT and business to ensure an effective approach to implementation, handover and acceptance of the change.
- Positively influences others by demonstrating the business values and behaviours and encourages this in team members.
