Head of Quality

Recruiting for a new role as Head of Quality to join a leading contract manufacturing healthcare and pharmaceutical company based in the North West of England who manufacture healthcare products under pharmaceutical and medical devices. As the Head of Quality you will be responsible for overseeing the Quality functions ensuring all products are compliant and released under licence in a timely manner.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Head of Quality and Compliance will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. You will provide direction and leadership to Quality Assurance team for the manufacturing facility, warehouse and supply chain. This includes leadership of the Quality department, Hosting MHRA audits, develop and implement site Quality improvements.

2. You will manage the Quality Management System (QMS) to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and provide Quality Assurance leadership and expertise to the manufacturing unit, ensuring compliance to relevant standards.

3. As the Head of Quality and Compliance you will ensure staff are trained on implemented Quality Systems such as Quality Reporting, Change Controls, Complaints and Recalls and Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs).

4. Lead on New product introduction (NPI) for new and existing customers

5. Manage internal and external audits (Customer, Regulations and Notified bodies)

6. You will provide site leadership and commercial direction and develop the quality culture across site and business.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this opportunity as the Head of Quality and Compliance

1. Relevant degree in a Science or engineering discipline and ideally a certified RP Responsible Person status or working towards being a Qualified Person (QP)

2. Proven pharmaceutical manufacturing industry experience in managing a quality function, including direct experience supporting the development and technology transfer activities.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience managing and ensuring compliance of Quality Management Systems, demands from regulatory authorities and meeting business objectives.

4. Prove experience building, managing people and developing skills and employee engagement
