We are looking for an experienced Agile Delivery Lead / Scrum Master who will lead the delivery of incremental value through one or more Agile product teams in Digital Services.
Working in collaboration with key stakeholders (Digital Leads, Product Owners and Executives) to understand Product Visions and Roadmaps, the role will lead on taking high level business outcomes into a single, communicated plan for delivery of technology changes over several sprints. Through this, the role will build effective Agile teams
The role also plays an important part in supporting and coaching teams and individuals across Digital Services as well as colleagues from the wider University understand and excel in working in an Agile way.
Payrate: GBP400 per day
Start date: Immediate start
End date: 6 months
Address: University of Leicester, University Road, Leicester, LE1 7RH. Hybrid working.
Responsibilities
Business Engagement
- Lead on the delivery of a roadmap of business and technology outcomes, following a structured and lean Agile delivery framework with one or more Product teams
- Engaging with Product Owners, Digital Leads and Executives to support the creation of Product Visions, Roadmaps, and adaptive delivery plans
- Ensure key stakeholders are kept engaged and enthused with product delivery and that product outcomes are delivered and measured
Leading Agile Product Teams
- Build highly effective, cohesive Agile Product teams that can deliver business value quickly through deploying technology in a safe and secure way
- Ensuring refined backlogs are in place for assigned Product teams, prioritised by Product Owners / Digital Leads to deliver most value
- Leading on Agile ceremonies (Spring Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Scrums, Retrospectives) and ensuring that these are inclusive, and outcomes are transparent to a wider audience
- Anticipate and robustly remove impediments that slow down or prevent work completion
- Following formal Digital Services governance processes for Agile Delivery, Demand, Resource & Capacity Management, Testing, Architecture and Change Management
Agile Leadership, Campaigning & Coaching
- Coach colleagues across the University on Agile delivery frameworks, methods, and mindset to support the wider shift to a more Agile, product focused way of delivering
