A Global Investment Bank are currently looking for a Senior Front Office Business Analyst, this is an initial 6 month contract based in the City of London (hybrid working) with a daily rate up to GBP770 per day via an Umbrella company.

Responsibilities

A Senior Front Office Business Analyst is required in London to work on one the streams of the RSF Program. The role will involve working with business stakeholders and technology partners to capture, define and document the detailed business requirements (functional and non–functional), manage testing & delivery of the target solution.

  • Elicit requirements (functional and technical) at detailed level, assist in fine tuning scope definitions, work closely with FO stakeholders for analysis and conducting interviews, document these requirements thoroughly including the use–cases, process flows, data flows, as well as devise comprehensive test cases to ensure the traceability and quality of deliverables.
  • Work with the project team members, desk heads and traders to capture detailed requirements and help define business architecture, processes within the overall solution as per the Program Governance.
  • Coordinate the UAT and raise any defects diligently and advise of issues and delivery risks in advance. Manage the issues raised from the test execution along with IT and QA teams

Deliverables

The main deliverables of the Business Analyst will be defined in accordance with the roadmap and delivery schedule designed and validated by the stream leader jointly with Program Directors & Sponsor. These deliverables will be, but not limited to:

  • Business requirements drafting (analysis of the requirement, feasibility study, technical and human constraints, resources needs, high level costing)
  • Follow–up of IT developments and UAT test cases design and execution
  • Contribution to final validation

Experience Required:

Previous Experience in Business Analysis for Front Office users. Proven track record as critical part in delivering large business change in a Capital Markets context, Rates and Rates derivatives domain experience required.

In–depth knowledge of fixed income SFT products and associated pre & post trade transactional workflows, in particular Gentan, Gensaki repos, bilateral and triparty SFT products including domestic market and Japanese trade types and associated calculations. Familiar with JSDA, GMRA, GMSLA formats. Prior experience of / skills on iStar (NRI).

Proven knowledge of Apex system and experience in implementing this solution in financial institutions.

Ability to work across all business, IT / operational / infrastructure functions and regions in the context of delivering coherent business capabilities that align with the business use cases throughout the systems.

Experienced Business and Systems analyst with product and process knowledge across front office specifically pricing, FO risk management, trading/ e–trading, risk valuations, operations, reconciliations and settlement in rates (cash & derivatives).

Experience defining comprehensive business test cases.

Understanding of SDLC, systems architecture, systems design & technical infrastructure (software, messaging technologies, databases, servers).
