We are currently recruiting for Trainee Business Development Managers to work with our sales, marketing, and tendering teams to generate sales and opportunities and maintain customer relationships. This is a full time, permanent position offering excellent earning potential, and career development prospects. While working location is flexible, the successful applicant will be covering either the North, Midlands or South, so proximately to one of these areas (along with a full driving license) is desirable.

Previous experience within a business development environment is not essential, but you will be quick to learn and eager to embrace new opportunities. You must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a great customer ethos, and be results motivated, helping to ensure both yourself and the Company are reaching their full potential.

You will receive full training on our company/propositions and be mentored by existing Business Development Managers and others throughout the business to help provide you with the skills and industry knowledge to start managing your own accounts, with the view that you will be promoted to a Business Development Manager within 12–24 months.

Responsibilities will include –

* Respond to customer enquiries and support the sales managers. Build relationship with external customers and offer excellent customer service throughout the process from initial contact to responding to post sales query

* Seek to progress projects through to acceptance and maintain detailed analysis of critical business information, including intelligence around business gained, pricing or lost quotations

* Follow up calls made to mailing campaigns to both existing and new companies. This will involve cold calling and commitment to follow each through to conclusion

* Provide administrative support to the Sales Department

* Support the Business Development Managers to make a significant contribution to the development of a customer base of Contractors, Consultants, Developers and Landowners, to ensure that we maximise market share and new business opportunities
